General writings, 1961 - 2003

 Series
Identifier: Accession 2006-01

Scope and Contents

These documents are made up of books (12), imprints from periodicals (21), articles in periodicals (46), and numerous other photocopied articles and manuscripts. Most of these are by the donor himself. Very important are letters from Vatican officials questioning the bishop who gave an imprimatur for the title: The Wider Ecumenism. Anonymous Christianity and the Church. The names of those involved are: Angelo Cardinal Rossi, and Bishop Denis Vincent Duming. There is a very supportive letter from Paul Cardinal Poupard for the symposium: The Gospel of Good New for Modern Cultures. In a telephone conversation with Fr. Hillman he highlighted the importance of a survey he took of the African Bishops and their stance on polygamy. He said people would find the results of this survey extremely surprising.
