Folder 1 of box 1 contains correspondence and reports gathered together by Rev. Barry Rankin, CP. It represents the struggles of the years prior to the founding of the Union. Folders 2-10 contain a variety of historical material, including copies of proposals, reports, the bylaws, and surveys. Folder 8 contains a chronicle written by Rev. Paul Bechtold, CP, of the founding years; it is a manuscript in three parts.

Box 2 contains a copy of the three-volume Institutional Self-Study undertaken in 1971, prepared for the American Association of Theological Schools.
