Administrative History:

The Chicago Area Theological Library Association (CATLA) grew out of a meeting of Chicago area theological librarians in 1965. Representatives at the first meeting included attendees from Indiana and Michigan, as well as Chicagoland and northern Illinois; today CATLA membership includes libraries from Wisconsin and Iowa as well. The concerns of the association have included interlibrary cooperation, collection development, and professional development.
