Biographical Note
Rabbi Hayim Perelmuter was born in Montreal in 1915, and died on January 4, 2001. Rabbi Perelmuter was a professor of Jewish Studies at Catholic Theological Union from 1969 to 2000. He also served as the co-director of the Catholic-Jewish Studies Program, and in 1994 he received Cardinal Bernardin's Nostra Aetate interfaith award for his work in Catholic-Jewish dialogue, along with his colleague, Fr. John Pawlikowski.
