Thomas Manning Vatican II documents, 1962-1965
Scope and Contents
This is a collection of documents used during the Second Vatican Council from 1962 through 1965. The majority of materials are in Latin with Italian interspersed; there are some documents in English and one in Spanish. Box 5 contains documents that include correspondence, newspapers as well as miscellaneous conference material. Some of the correspondence is addressed to Thomas Manning and other writers are Pericles Felici, Carmine Rocco, and Archbishop De Giustinianopoli.

Biographical Information:
Thomas Manning, O.F.M., was born in Baltimore in 1922 and died in Suffern, New York in 2001. He was received into the Franciscans in 1942, and ordained in 1948. He went to Bolivia to serve as a missionary in 1957, and he was consecrated bishop-prelate of Coroico in 1959.
